We Need You to Tell Alabama Legislators to Stop Interfering in the Lives of Trans Youth
Fellow Alabamians and allies –
Every child deserves to be supported and have the opportunity to live the best life possible. But Alabama legislators are stepping in – against the wishes of both parents and medical experts – to interfere in the lives of trans and gender non-conforming youth.
HB1/SB10 would ban doctors from providing hormonal therapies that would delay a trans child from going into puberty, even if those medications are requested by the child’s own parents or guardians. It’s politically motivated medical interference, and will lead to worse health outcomes for Alabama children.
Alabama politicians need to stay out of every person’s health care decisions, and that is even more important when we are talking about vulnerable youth. Tell them to vote no on HB1/SB10 and leave medical decisions where they belong – with doctors and families.
