Hey y’all!
It’s hard to believe it’s already time for one of our biggest fundraising events of the year, but here we are! Fund-A-Thon 2021 is a nationwide annual event hosted by the National Network of Abortion Funds for their member orgs like us.
Our theme this year is “EVERYTHING is Reproductive Justice” featuring a 90s inspired “Back to the Basics” breakdown of why our work is so essential, especially in our region. Starting today until the end of April, we’ll be sharing giveaways and producing lots of free educational content, ultimately culminating in an online roundtable discussion starring Yellowhammer’s staff set to air in mid April!
We highly encourage you to participate and want to emphasize that while this campaign will help our abortion funding, we will also be using the proceeds to continue our full spectrum of programs, including our new family justice program! When we say #EVERYTHINGIsReproductiveJustice we mean it – and that’s why we’ll keep supporting people’s choices to be pregnant – or not be pregnant – and parent the way they want to when and if they want to.
There’s a few different ways to get involved:
- you can start your own fundraising campaign or team and recruit people to join you
- OR you can go solo and donate directly
- And of course, always please SHARE with your pro-abortion / reproductive justice network!
Lastly, we strive to be as transparent as possible when it comes to what your donations are actually funding and one of the best ways to do that is to share our progress from last year via our 2020 Annual Report Highlights. We’re so proud of everything we’ve accomplished in the short time that we’ve been an org, and it’s thanks to grassroots supporters like you that it’s even possible in the first place.
